If I can not pay the $30 registration fee, can I still register and attend class?
Yes! No one is turned away. Please talk to Allie Balog to go over the requirments to get your fee waived. Also there is an option to make payment plans too.
How much does it cost to attend the afterschool program and early childhood programs?
FREE! PCFES only asks for you to help donate snack once a month.
Who can attend the early childhood classroom?
It is offered to children ages 6 months- 5yrs who have a parent or guardian enrolled in the adult classes.
I do not like to take tests. Is there an option to opt out of the testing?
No. PCFES is funded by Northeastern Junior College and they require a pre and post test for all adult students. Please do realize there is no pass/fail grades. These tests simply inform your instructor on what you do and don't know.
What are your hours of operation?
PCFES is opened Monday through Thursday. Doors are open as long as there is a staff member in the building. These hours are normally from 1:30pm-7:30pm. If you find them locked please feel free to call Allie Balog at 970-302-6334.
How do I know when you are closed for Holidays and inclement weather?
PCFES follows the Holyoke School District schedule. When they are closed, we are closed. You can also find updates on our facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/familyed
Where are you located?
PCFES is located at Phillips County Event Center between Dragon's Wagon Preschool and CSU Extension. Our main entrance is through the public bathroom doors to the left by the mens bathroom.
